Fair Trade

This amazing Fair Trade pioneering and supportive shop based in Fair Do's LogoCanton since the turn of the century have done a great deal to support Fair Trade in Cardiff and raising awareness elsewhere.

In their own words: “Fair trade is important because it provides the best deals for both producers and consumers. Better working conditions and wages offer producers dignity and a better way of life for themselves, their families and their communities”

The nearest Woodland Trust/Coed Cadw forest is ‘Pen Y Turnpike‘ (part of the Cwm George and Casehill Woods group in South Glamorgan which is undergoing a 2014-2019 management plan) located to the West of Cardiff.

Several Cardiff Transition members are also Coed Cadw/Woodland Trust supporters and have actively supported the planting of natural local Welsh Oaks, Ash and other important indigenous tree species around Cardiff and South East Wales.

Additionally the Roundhouse Partnership has been set up as a land management programme as part of Cardiff Transition; to set up a sustainable land management project.
