As you have probably guessed by the name we meet every wednesday around 7ish at Cardiff Arts Institute, you can see what we are going to be doing on our google calendar. Sometimes we just have a catch up, other times we talk about a project that some/all of us are working on. So if you like the idea of mixing a drink with a chat about things going on in our society and communities everyone is welcome.

Rhiwbina Farmers' Market was set up in the summer of 2010 in a local pub car park at the invitation of the owner , as has received massively strong and enthusiastic support from local residents, who make a special effort to shop there. Originally run as a one-off trial during the 2010 Rhiwbina Festival, there was such a strong demand from local people for it to continue that the Market has operated every fortnight since then.

Llandaff North Farmers' Market is our newest market, just set up for a trial period in December 2010 in response to a request from the local Traders Association who felt that such a local farmers' market could bring strong benefits to local residents and businesses. The Market is located in an ideal location, in the car park of The Railway pub right next to the train station and highly visible from the main street.

In early 2008, RCMA launched a second farmers’ market in Roath, East Cardiff, aiming to reflect the same ethos of localness, quality and accessibility as Riverside Market while attracting a new range of customers. The Roath Real Food Market has operated in the car park of a sports club in the heart of the residential area which includes a lot of student accommodation.

The Riverside Real Food Market runs weekly on the Fitzhamon Embankment (opposite the Millennium Stadium) - a high-profile location close to Cardiff  city centre. Fair Trade Chocolate and Wine Event on 28th February 7-9pm at St. Augustine’s Church Hall organised by Penarth Fair Trade Forum to celebrate Fair Trade Fortnight 27th – 11th March 2012.
A Cotton Producer will share their story and there will be an opportunity to design your own Fair Trade Cotton Tee shirt as well as free samples of Fair Trade wine and chocolate. Several stalls selling a range of Fair Trade Produce will also be at this event. Admission is FREE.
